Shot by shot
The board is a grid with coloured, numbered blocks. You select a block, drag it and place it on the grid. When equal numbers meet they join, and lines can be cleared to free space.
The challenge is room, not speed. Every placement uses up space, so the game is about planning where each block goes so that the board does not fill up.
Inputs, one by one
- Mouse (select)Pick a block
- Mouse (drag)Move it across the grid
- Mouse (release)Place it
Small advantages
- Look at where equal numbers can meet before you pick a block up.
- Keep one area of the grid open for awkward blocks rather than spreading them everywhere.
- Clearing a line is worth more than a single pair when the board is getting full.
- Avoid placing a block only because it fits; ask what it blocks next.
Who gets along with it
Players who like quiet puzzles and thinking about space.
Drawbacks, plainly
- NoteIt is built around the mouse, so dragging on a small screen may be fiddly.
- NoteA full board ends the game, which can arrive suddenly after a careless placement.
- NotePoki may show advertising around its games; that is part of Poki, not this site.
